Buono Viaggio (I think)

I cannot see past my nose today. They fog is so think that I thought maybe the scuola bus went right past us today. But really, they went on strike and didn't tell us. Awesome. I don't mind waiting out in the cold and fog with two little girls who are freezing their little noses off. Not at all.
We took the city bus and when I got there the American woman, Carolyn, offered me a ride home and we talked about Thanksgiving. It was nice.
Allora. I had an Italian class on Tuesday and one on Thursday. I really like it! The professor is enthuiastic and nice. Although, many of the students know each other. Here's the layout of the class: One Canadian girl, one Brit male, one German girl, one Nigerian woman and 18 Spanish students.
They all speak to each other in Spanish. The first day I thought they were speaking Italian and that I was in the wrong class. The German guy is also not a student and they are letting him sit in the class, like me. He moved here to be with his girlfriend. He says they have a weird language between the two of them that is half english, half italian, half spanish, half nonsense. That's four halves.
Anyways, I do not like him. Just for the record. I generally like people and he erks me. Which sucks because at the end of class he said, "Awesome, another english person, this spot is reserved!" At which point he pointed to the seat next to him.
He speaks too much english for my liking. You cannot learn Italian if you sit around and speak English in Italian class! Men.
They rest of the students seem really nice and friendly and the German girl showed me where to get the textbook, which is only 30 euros. I told her how much books for school cost in Canada and she flipped.
I got an invitation to what I think is a pubcrawl, but it is for this weekend, and I will be in Paris. I leave tomorrow! I think I have everything ready, except that I need to print my online ticket. If I don't, they could charge me up to 50 euros. These discount airlines are smart like that. By smart I mean swarmy.
I actually have to check on the bus situation, because if they are all on strike, then I cannot get to Pesaro. This mean I cannot get to Rimini. If I cannot get to Rimini I cannot go to Milano. If I cannot go to Milano then I will not go to Paris.
I will let you know how things go. I should be meeting Pierre tomorrow night. Also, don't eat frozen pizza in Italy. If this is all you learn from this blog, I will be happy. I have been eating really well, as you know, since I got here, and two days ago we were running late and Alessandra asked me to pick up some frozen pizza which we all ate up like dogs because we were hungry. I have been sick for two days. Gross. This is what happens when you quit eating nasty processed food. You cannot eat it anymore. Which sucks because I truly love nasty processed food. Alas. I also love the healthy, fresh food that I should be eating so that is what I'll do. Also, I lied to you. You get no pictures today. Mi scusi.

  1. hi Cousin,

Its your pretend vegan cousin. I started a blog. But since I am like a 95 year old with computers, I am having difficulties. Will you help. Can I send you my posts VIA e-mail before I post them. How do you get it so your blog pops up when you type it in?

Love you lots, you are hilarious. My first blog post was today.

    Love,
    Sarah
