The Pictureless Blog

Coming to a movie theatre near you! Hide the kids, beware your heart, fear the ever looming... Pictureless Blog! Ahhhh!

Ok. So this whole picture thing is going on hiatus for a bit. I thought it would be easier to get them on, but it's not.
So, instead, you get another post.
You will all be happy to know I am no longer sick. I felt it in my sinuses and throat and everything and I just rested and drank this herbal stuff Alessandra had and ate as much as I wanted and now I feel great! Well, except for my legs.
My poor, poor legs. You know when you use a muscle for something like rockclimbing or soccer or something you hardly ever do and this muscle is like, hey, what are you doing? I didn't think I had to work ever. I thought I was on easy street, taking the system for a ride. Well that is what my calves are saying because this place is so full of hills! Everywhere you walk, you are either going up or down a hill. I am not used to this. Not at all. Either way, when I wake up, I have to get out of bed very slowly or else my legs will wilt beneath me.
Alessandra says I will get used to it. I say, find me some prairies.
It's actually nice working different muscles. I think I will be quite fit when I get back. She also says that when we go to the sea in the summer, my hair will become much lighter. It's already very slightly lighter, but now that it is getting a tad colder, I think it will stop.
I think I am also darker. Darker that Kristen even. It's about time.
I will look very different, I think, when I get back! Don't worry, I will keep my classy air about me, so you'll know who I am. Oh, and my debonair smile.
So, a couple days ago, I decided to take a sort of nature walk. It was hot, so I wore shorts, my awesome hat, and I brought a towel to sit on. There is a large hill beyond the football field behind the house. After this hill there are trees. After these trees there are flat fields. This is where I wanted to go. Once I got on the hill, I realised it was drying out. The plant life was about 3 feet tall and scratchy. I made it to the trees and realised they were not only too thick to even think about passing through, they may harbour wolverines or vampires or something. So, I looked over to a farm on my left and figured there must be a road for them to get out of here. I did not want to go back up the hill. It was very big, and very angry. Like a bear. No one wants to climb a bear.
So, I starting walking along the plain and as I passed through some trees toward the farm, I got a horrible, painful, unpleasent feeling in my knees. In the next minutes a nice little rash and hives turned up. I believe it was poison ivy. Is it really poisonous? I didn't die but it did hurt. Anyways, I made it to the farm and walked around the perimeter until I saw the road. It was beyond their rows of trees that grew something I am sure tasted very good. However, there was no more of these things on the trees. I walked along on row until I reached the white-dirt road. It went uphill and I followed it until I reached a paved road. It went into Urbino. Keep in mind this has been about an hour. I stayed for some time at the top to rest and look at the view. I sat on my towel that I wished I could sew into pants. There was construction going on for a new church. It was right next to an old farmhouse. Things like construction, religion and chickens often collide in Italy.
I went to walk the road back into Urbino. I thought it would be about a 20 minute walk to the flat, considering how long I had been gone, but no. I was about, give or take 10 seconds, 3 and half minutes away.
Well, now I know how to get to some very nice spots via roads that are very close. And, I do not have to take that wretched hill.
My legs are thouroughly scratched, scarred, bubbly and rashy. Perfecto. I believe this means I had a good day.

  1. As Calvin says, It's not a good day unless you're grassstained! ;)
