Bambini!

Here are some picture of the children from my first day to now, not necessarily in that order.
Alessandra and Benedetta outside one of the teepees at BioSalus.

Benedetta's skills with the camera.

The statue Benny got stuck in when she was three. Still makes me laugh everytime we go by it.

Benny and I in the Piazza at the fountain. Also, that is a spotlight on me. A spotlight from the Universe.

Swinging in the girls' favourite park.

Leo in the Piazza. The tables behind him show up during festivals and some weekends.

The masks!

Leo, Sarah, Benny in the masks. Sarah was very scared of them until she tried them on herself.

Benedetta!

Leo le Lupo.

Leo with one of the 200 euro masks. They were so cool and he loved them.

Sarah and I. It may look like she is about to freak, but it was truly just a bad shot.

Sarak playing in her toom. See, no pants. She HATES pants.

Benny the the povero gatto. She is in her tootoo. This means she was very upset about not getting her way. She gets into her tootoo when she is upset like this. It is very hard to be mad at her sometimes, with her big brown eyes and cute wardrobe. But, somehow, I get passed it.

Benny on the bus.

Alessandra and the girls outside of their school.

The girls and I outside their school.

Sarah sleeping. In my first days here, I thought it would be the only time I would like her. But, things have changed and I'm a little attached to her awake state.

Leo! And his beautiful face.

Painting the shelf blu. Leo, Alessandra, Benedetta.

Today it ended up pouring after all that wind brough in some pretty dark clouds. It was so cold that I wore four layers. The temperature drop was very surprising and, well, deserved after all the bragging I did about the weather.
My first Italian lesson ended up being a test of my current abilities. Not fun and not uplifting and not really all that promising. I did not know a lot of it. But, this was the point of the test and now they know I am a beginner. The people in the class seem nice and I heard a lot of english. I think I will be able to practice with some of them outside of class.
Also, this is a desperate shout out to anyone who knows where I left my slippers. They are brown and wonderful and homemade by my Grandma. I either left them at home or at Beth's. Let me know and get them to me. Now. Ahem. Mi scusi.
It is almost time for supper. Have a good morning!
Ciao

  3. It was funny you mentioned your slippers - I found them today when checking to be sure no one forgot anything, and there they were. Will send a care package soon.!

  4. Yes. The town is amazing with it's beauty. I love the mountains. And we can see the coastline from the countryside.

And as for the successful curly haired myth, it is true. Nothing can stop a perfect ringlet.

And thanks mom! My cold feet cannot wait.
